Township Government
Cherry Hill Township Municipal Building is located at 820 Mercer Street, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002. The main phone number is (856) 488-7878. Township offices are open Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. You can visit chnj.gov for online services, meeting schedules, and department contacts.
Utilities
- Electric: PSE&G (Public Service Electric & Gas) serves most of Cherry Hill. Call 1-800-436-7701 or visit pseg.com to set up service.
- Gas: South Jersey Industries (SJI) / South Jersey Gas provides natural gas service. Call 1-800-585-7638 or visit southjerseygas.com.
- Water: New Jersey American Water serves most Cherry Hill addresses. Call 1-800-272-1325 or visit njamericanwater.com.
- Sewer: Cherry Hill Township manages sewer services. Contact the Public Works department at (856) 488-7880.

- Cable/Internet: Xfinity (Comcast) and Verizon Fios are the primary providers in Cherry Hill.

Emergency Services
Cherry Hill is served by a professional police department, fire department, and EMS. In an emergency, always dial 911. The non-emergency police line is (856) 488-7828.

- Fire Department: Multiple fire companies serve Cherry Hill. For non-emergency inquiries, contact the township.
- Hospitals: Virtua Voorhees Hospital and Cooper University Hospital are both accessible from Cherry Hill.

Schools
If you have school-age children, contact the Cherry Hill Board of Education at (856) 429-4350 or visit their website for enrollment information, school assignments, and the academic calendar. You will need proof of residency, a birth certificate, and immunization records.
Driver's License & Vehicle Registration
New residents must transfer their driver's license and vehicle registration to New Jersey within 60 days of establishing residency. Visit the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) for requirements. The closest MVC agency is in Cherry Hill.
Voting Registration
To vote in Cherry Hill, you must register with the Camden County Board of Elections. New Jersey offers online voter registration at voter.svrs.nj.gov. You must be registered at least 21 days before any election.

Here is a week-by-week plan to help you get settled and start enjoying your new community:
Week 1: Essential Setup
- Confirm utilities are active in your name (electric, gas, water, internet).
- Unpack essentials and set up bedrooms, kitchen, and bathrooms.
- Change your address with USPS, banks, insurance, and subscriptions.
- Transfer your driver's license and vehicle registration to New Jersey (within 60 days).
